Kunak UV Meter – Accurate UV radiation measurements for environmental monitoring
The UV Radiation Sensor has been developed for the accurate measurement of UV radiation in environmental monitoring, research and industrial applications. The sensor detects ultraviolet radiation in the range from 280 to 400 nm and measures it in energy density units of watts per square metre (W/m²).
UV radiation plays an important role in environmental analysis, weather effects, solar irradiance research and applications involving artificial light sources. The sensor is therefore often used as an extension to environmental measuring systems and meteorological installations.
Accurate detection of UV radiation
The sensor measures UV radiation within a range of 0 to 200 W/m² and responds very quickly to changes in light intensity thanks to a response time of ≤1 second. This makes the sensor suitable for real-time monitoring in both outdoor environments and laboratory applications. Typical applications include:
