Handheld dust monitors
If dust has to be measured regularly, a handheld dust monitor — also known as a digital dust meter — is in some cases the most efficient solution. It gives you an indication of the amount of dust both during and after the measurement. There are also many options and possibilities in this area.

Fixed dust monitors
With a fixed dust monitor you opt for a solution that measures dust continuously or regularly in the same place. Perfect for fenceline monitoring of factories or construction sites, for example. It can equally be useful for industrial dust monitoring of production processes, ventilation systems, filter systems and in mining. Here too there are many possibilities.

Portable dust monitors
A portable dust monitor is the perfect combination of the accuracy of a fixed dust monitor and the ease of use of a handheld dust monitor. This equipment often runs for extended periods on battery, mains power or, for example, solar panels.

Ultrafine particle monitors
At present, little information is available about the concentration levels of ultrafine particles (UFP). What we do know is that UFP penetrate deep into the lungs and are very harmful. BaSystemen works with Naneos Particle Solutions to offer a range of instruments for measuring ultrafine particles.

More about measuring dust
As mentioned, a digital dust monitor is in some cases the most cost-effective solution when dust has to be measured regularly. But with a particle counter you can also measure ultrafine dust. These instruments are extremely well suited for use in cleanrooms. In a combination of gravimetry and real-time measurement, a digital dust monitor is coupled to an air sampling pump with a filter. This gives you insight into the total dust concentration and the associated trend analysis.
We also have dust monitors suitable for unattended measurement, where the data can be consulted continuously via an internet portal. It is also possible to set up a system that automatically triggers alarms or switches connected equipment, such as ventilation in a tunnel. Finally, we have recently added the first compact and genuinely practical digital nanoparticle monitor to our range.
