Glass fibre filters are used, for example, for general gravimetric analysis, isocyanates, ethylene glycerol and air quality fractions. A Mixed Cellulose Ester or MCE filter is suitable when analysis beyond gravimetry is required. We sell them in various pore sizes and gridded versions.

A PVC filter is highly suitable for measuring dust, silica and chromium. PTFE filters are often used in “aggressive” environments, such as air sampling of alkaline dust, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), pesticides and isocyanates. A quartz filter is logically used in chimneys, for instance, or for diesel engine emissions. They are heat and acid resistant. The polycarbonate filter is particularly suitable for asbestos fibre counting or scanning electron microscopy.

In addition to these filters, which can of course be combined with various air sampling pumps and filter holders, adsorption tubes are also used regularly. These are specially designed to absorb gases and vapours from the air for analysis in a laboratory. This is a reliable method, which not only allows the risks to be mapped out, but also ensures proper legal compliance and the necessary preventive measures.
