Rent a gas detector tube pump

A gas detector tube pump is a last resort when it is not possible to measure a gas with a digital gas detector. A gas detector tube pump is used to draw gas through a gas detector tube. When the tube changes colour, the concentration of the gas present can be determined. The advantage of gas detector tubes is that they are available for virtually every gas, whereas this is not always the case with digital gas detectors. 

Gas detector tubes also come with a number of significant drawbacks: 

• We often compare a measurement with a gas detector tube to a photograph. A single snapshot, in other words. Whereas with a digital measuring instrument you can 'film', and are therefore continuously aware of the gases in the surrounding area.
• Gas detector tubes often have a margin of error of +/- 25%
