TSI OmniTrak PID PPB Module
The TSI OmniTrak PID PPB Module has been developed for extremely sensitive detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the ppb range (parts per billion). With its advanced 10.6 eV PID sensor, this module can detect low VOC concentrations that affect indoor air quality, health and comfort. Thanks to the wireless connection with the OmniTrak Smart Station professionals can easily carry out measurements, analyse data and generate accurate reports.
Applications
The PID PPB Module is suitable for situations in which low VOC concentrations are critical to health, comfort or safety, such as:

How does the OmniTrak PPB Module work?
Inside the PID sensor, molecules of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are irradiated with ultraviolet light (10.6 eV). Molecules with an ionisation energy lower than 10.6 eV are ionised (electrons are released), which creates an electric current.
This current signal is measured continuously and converted into ppb values.
The module then transmits the measurement data wirelessly to the OmniTrak Smart Station via Bluetooth. On the Smart Station you can view the current concentrations, study graphs and analyse historical data. The PID PPB Module measures very low VOC concentrations (ppb level), with a resolution of 0.1 ppb and a response time of < 10 seconds. This allows the module to detect changes in air quality quickly, for example when testing ventilation efficiency, chemical emissions or contamination in indoor spaces.
