GAZOSCAN MINI – Portable ATEX methane detector for remote measurements
The GAZOSCAN MINI is a handy and intrinsically safe (ATEX) gas leak detector for tracing methane. The device uses TDLAS laser spectroscopy technology, which provides fast, accurate and selective detection of methane leaks at distances of up to 15 metres, without any physical contact being required. Thanks to its light, ergonomic design and intuitive operation, the Gazoscan Mini is ideal for outdoor applications such as inspections of gas pipelines, biogas plants, compressors and industrial sites.
With immediate readout on the screen, configurable alarm thresholds and a fast response time (<0.05s), the GAZOSCAN MINI is an effective tool for emission reduction, safety and maintenance in gas-related sectors.
How the GAZOSCAN MINI works
The GAZOSCAN MINI works with Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS). When the laser beam is aimed at a possible leak, the radiation is partly absorbed by the methane molecules present. The reflected signal is then analysed in the device and the measurement is displayed immediately on the 1.8” OLED screen.
The detector responds in less than 0.1 second, with light, sound and vibration alike, as soon as a threshold value is exceeded. Thanks to its high measurement accuracy and the absence of drift effects, the GAZOSCAN MINI remains reliable over a long period without any maintenance being needed.
