Blackline Safety Loner Duo

The Loner Duo is a very small device for protecting lone workers. The Loner Duo device works together with the Loner Mobile App, available for iOS and Android. The Loner Duo has the sensors needed to detect when an employee has fallen or has shown no movement for a longer period. The device can also be activated manually to send an emergency signal to the monitoring department.
Via a Bluetooth connection with your smartphone, the Loner Duo is linked to the Loner Mobile App. The device is therefore operational anywhere your smartphone has a connection to a cellular network or a WiFi network. Alarms are received centrally in the Blackline Live monitoring portal, from where action can be taken in an emergency. The Blackline Live monitoring portal gives you an overarching view of all Blackline Safety devices in your organisation.
Unlike some safety monitoring smartphone apps that only call a buddy list, Loner Mobile alerts live monitoring staff, and optimised, targeted emergency assistance can be sent straight to the employee's location. All Loner Mobile settings can be configured over the air in the Blackline Live monitoring portal . This provides the control needed for anything from small deployments to large-scale company-wide roll-outs. Safety alerts can be configured to open an automatic two-way call with monitoring staff, creating a higher level of situational awareness for an optimised response to emergencies.
Example scenario:
1. The Loner Duo goes into alarm - This may be caused by the manual emergency latch or by the built-in fall sensors.
1.1 Is it a false alarm? For example, when the wearer falls but no further assistance is needed? The wearer then has 30 seconds to cancel the alarm. (this time interval can be configured).
2. It is not a false alarm. The wearer of the device has lost consciousness, for instance, so the alarm is not cancelled within 30 seconds.
3. Your smartphone forwards the alarm to the Blackline Safety monitoring portal. This is where all incoming alarms are collected.
4. The person monitoring the Blackline Safety portal sees the incoming alarm. Action can then be taken to come to the aid of the person concerned.
