The SV 303 is a state-of-the-art noise monitor designed to measure urban noise in so-called 'smart cities'. The instrument meets the class 1 standards according to IEC 61672-1:2013 and IEC 61260-1:2014 and guarantees exceptional accuracy in noise measurements. Its extensive LAeq measuring range, from 30 to 130 dB, provides comprehensive coverage of urban soundscapes, measuring and recording noise levels during the day and at night. Thanks to its rugged environmental resistance, the SV 303 operates effectively at temperatures from -20°C to 60°C and humidity up to 95%, making it suitable for a wide range of urban conditions.
The SV 303 is an affordable solution, which makes it ideal for noise monitoring at multiple points across urban areas. By providing accurate, real-time noise data, city planners and policymakers can develop effective strategies to reduce noise nuisance, significantly improving residents' quality of life. Seamless integration with existing urban monitoring systems via USB and UART interfaces ensures adaptability and easy implementation, making the SV 303 an essential tool for creating quieter, healthier and more liveable cities.
Urban noise is the unwanted sound in urban environments that comes from sources such as traffic, construction, industrial activities and social gatherings. This pervasive noise can lead to numerous adverse public health effects, including stress, sleep disturbance and cardiovascular problems. Accurately monitoring urban noise with instruments such as the SV 303 is crucial because it delivers reliable, real-time data for noise mapping that computer-based noise mapping estimates cannot match. Real-world measurements capture the complexity of urban soundscapes, enabling accurate assessments and informed decision-making to reduce noise nuisance and improve living conditions in the city.
The station is very easy to install and suitable both for short measurements, such as during events, and for long-term measurements in a variety of environments, including industry, road, air and rail traffic, and construction work.
