Vib@Work Hand Arm
The Vib@Work Hand-Arm vibration dosimeter is a compact and fully autonomous instrument for measuring the vibration exposure of employees who frequently work with hand-guided or hand-held power tools. Because the sensor has an internal rechargeable battery and data logger, no cables are needed and the sensor can be used to map vibration throughout an entire shift. A completely wireless solution in which, after the measurement, the sensor can be read out via PC software and reset for the next measurement.
The software automatically calculates and displays employees' exposure to hand-arm vibration and shows how this exposure relates to the limit and action values defined in the Vibration Directive.
To cover the full range of existing hand tools, two sensors have been developed for the Vib@Work Hand-Arm: one for conventional vibrating tools, while the other is intended for highly percussive tools that generate strong shocks (up to 50.000 m/s²).
The Vib@Work Hand-Arm can be fitted to any type of tool and is currently the only device able to carry out accurate vibration measurements without disrupting work with awkward cables.
