Kunak Mechanical Wind Sensor – measuring wind speed and wind direction

The Kunak Mechanical Wind Sensor has been developed to measure wind speed and wind direction in air quality and environmental monitoring projects. The sensor combines rugged mechanical components with accurate measurements and is suitable for long-term outdoor use in a wide range of weather conditions.

Meteorological data such as wind direction and wind speed play an important role in analysing the dispersion of particulate matter, emissions and odour nuisance. The mechanical wind sensor is therefore often used in combination with Kunak AIR monitors for fenceline monitoring, industrial monitoring and environmental measurements.

The wind sensor is designed for both low wind speeds and extreme weather conditions. Its rugged construction withstands heavy wind loads while the sensor remains sensitive enough for light air movements.
