The Casella dBadge2 remains an extremely strong choice for many users. This compact dosimeter is worn discreetly on the shoulder while recording all relevant parameters. And with versions such as the dBadge2 Plus (with audio recording) and dBadge2 Pro (with audio recording & octave band analysis) there is room for more depth when the measurement calls for it. It is also ATEX certified and therefore suitable for workplaces with an explosion risk.
But not every working environment calls for the same approach. In situations where scalability and cost efficiency are key, the Casella Omniwear Noise comes into play. This innovative clip-on dosimeter gives visual warnings via LEDs, so employees can see in real time when they are exposed to too much noise. It is a lightweight, no-nonsense alternative.
For potentially explosive environments we also offer the Svantek SV 104BIS. This is an ATEX-certified noise dosimeter that is not only extremely robust but also comes with audio recording as standard. Differences compared with the dBadge 2, for example, are the MEMS microphone with a lifetime warranty and the option of 1/3 octave band analysis.
If you want even more insight, for instance in situations with asymmetrical noise exposure, the Svantek SV 102+ is a logical choice. This dual-channel dosimeter measures on both sides of the head at the same time, which is valuable when analysing hearing protection or workplaces with one-sided noise sources.
For even more in-depth analysis there is the Svantek SV 102A+. This meter measures both outside and inside the hearing protection. This allows you to assess not only whether dangerous noise levels are present, but also whether the hearing protection used is actually effective. That makes this device an indispensable tool for prevention advisers and safety experts.
The Casella CEL-35x series is no longer in production. Should you still have this device, BaSystemen can of course support you with calibration and maintenance. The device has been succeeded by the Casella dBadge2.
