Using sound level meters
Hearing damage is caused by exposure to too much sound and noise. And the consequences of that are significant: from hearing loss to more stress and reduced concentration. Above a certain sound level you are obliged as an employer to provide your employees with hearing protection.
Rent a sound level meter
Sound level meters are expensive devices. Renting is therefore an attractive choice in many cases. What is more, at BaSystemen you will find a wide range of sound level meters, so there is always one that suits your situation. And our experts are ready to give you advice!
Wide range
At BaSystemen you will find class 1 sound level meters and class 2 sound level meters. Class 2 meters are less accurate than class 1 meters, but give an excellent indication of the noise. As long as a noise measurement does not have to meet certain legal requirements, a class 2 meter is often sufficient for occupational health and safety measurements.
We also rent out class 1 sound level meters with octave band analysis, as well as class 2 sound level meters with octave band analysis. Octave band analysis is used to distinguish between the different frequencies that make up a sound.
In addition to sound level meters we also rent out noise monitors, in other words equipment with which noise can be monitored over a longer period. There are, for example, personal noise dosimeters, which an employee can carry with them during work. That way you find out exactly how much noise they are exposed to. If you want to monitor the noise at a fixed location, the 24/7 noise monitor is probably what you are looking for. With this you can measure noise continuously both indoors and outdoors, in order to discover whether measures are needed to protect employees.
