Casella IOM Filter Holder for dust sampling

All IOM filter holders are designed for use with a controlled air flow rate supplied by a personal air sampling pump. Sampling media (filters) are placed directly in the heads or by means of cassettes. The filter is weighed before sampling and again afterwards to gravimetrically determine the amount of dust collected. IOM sampling heads collect a particle size of 100 microns and smaller, in other words the inhalable fraction. 

A commonly used flow rate is 2 litres/minute.

The IOM filter holder is supplied as standard with a plastic cassette. For work at high temperatures a metal cassette is also available. The cyclone head has a crocodile clip so that the filter holder can be positioned within the wearer's breathing zone.
