Assay 546 Badge for measuring Volatile Organic Compounds
The 546 Organic Vapor Badge from Assay Technology is excellently suited to long-term monitoring of organic vapours with high personal exposure levels (greater than 200 ppm). The sampling face with 19 holes reduces the chance of the collection media becoming saturated, making a second activated carbon unit in the badge unnecessary in most environments. Although the 8-hour exposure limits differ for each chemical substance, they are generally around 0.5 ppm, which is well below most limit values. Consult our Sampling Guide for specific information on the chemical substance you are interested in. The 546 badge is generally not recommended for STEL measurements (15 minutes).

The Assay 546 Badges are very easy to use for personal exposure measurements. The badge simply needs to be clipped to the work clothing of the person you want to monitor in order to start a measurement. No further equipment, batteries, tubing or pumps are needed to complete the measurement successfully. Once the measurement is complete, you can send the badge to a laboratory of your choice to have it analysed. Of course you can also return it to BaSystemen and we will take the work off your hands. This monitor has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture.
