Trolex Air XS Silica Specific Monitor

The Air XS Silica Monitor is the world's first digital real-time respirable crystalline silica dust monitor! The monitor was developed by Trolex with the support of the Australian Centre for Work Health and Safety in order to map potential exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS) as efficiently as possible.

The monitor applies a newly developed measuring technique called Optical Refraction Technology (ORT) to map real-time airborne RCS concentrations. By assessing several detection parameters simultaneously, such as particle size, symmetry and a range of optical properties, the monitor enables the user to monitor RCS concentrations with high selectivity. With the optional transportable pack, the Air XS can be deployed mobile with a rechargeable battery pack. By connecting the Air XS permanently to the power supply, 24/7 operation can be achieved.
