Riken Keiki NP-1000 H2-specific Gas Detector

The Riken Keiki NP-1000 is a portable hydrogen-specific gas detector. The device has a large, intuitive display and a strong backlight. Measurement data is also stored internally by the data logging function. When you measure using a sampling hose, the NP-1000 features a  pump boost mode so it can draw in sufficient air (up to 30 m).

Optional filters can be used with the standard gas sampling probe to remove hydrogen sulphide (H2S) or silicones. These gases would normally damage this type of catalytic sensor. 
The NP-1000 is a version specially calibrated for hydrogen in the 0-10 vol% or 0-100 vol% range. This gas detector is ideal for use in fuel cell environments, hydrogen filling stations or electrolysers and many other hydrogen applications.

The NP-1000 is small, light and compact, and is also very easy for the user to operate. It runs on 4 x alkaline batteries, allowing continuous operation for up to 20 hours. The device is supplied as standard with a 0.75 m hose and a sampling probe.
