The RASOR from Reactec Ltd is a portable device designed to safeguard the safety of employees in industrial environments. It provides real-time monitoring and data collection relating to workers' exposure to health risks such as vibration and noise.
The RASOR device uses Bluetooth technology to connect to other devices, such as the HAVwear, which is used to measure exposure to hand-arm vibration (HAV, Hand-Arm Vibration). This exposure can be harmful to health in the long term, so the RASOR helps to manage these risks by collecting data from various employees and making it available via an online platform.
Although the RASOR in many cases receives data from external Bluetooth devices such as the HAVwear (which measures vibration exposure), the RASOR itself has built-in sensors for lone workers, such as:
- Fall detection: The device can detect when an employee has fallen.
- Panic mode: An emergency button that allows the employee to call for help in dangerous situations.
- Check-in functions: Periodic notifications to verify that the employee is safe.
The RASOR sends the collected data to an associated analytics platform. This platform is designed to monitor, analyse and manage employees' health and safety information. The data collected by the RASOR device and any connected Bluetooth devices is sent to an online platform in real time.
