Kunak Smart Cartridges – Modular sensors for air quality monitoring
The Kunak Smart Cartridges form the core of the modular Kunak AIR platform. Thanks to these interchangeable sensor modules, air quality monitors can easily be adapted to the requirements of a project, without the device having to be returned to the manufacturer.
The cartridges are designed for quick installation, reliable measurement data and maximum flexibility within professional air quality monitoring.
How do the Smart Cartridges work?
With the Kunak Smart Cartridges, users can decide for themselves which pollutants are measured. When a project changes or other parameters are needed, cartridges can easily be replaced or added. The system works on a simple principle:
- remove the existing cartridge
- insert the new cartridge
- the system configures itself automatically
- measurements start almost immediately
GasPlug™ technology
The cartridges use Kunak's patented GasPlug™ technology. Every cartridge contains: a separate sensor, integrated electronics, calibration data and sensor information such as age and configuration. As soon as a cartridge is inserted, the system automatically reads out all data and the measurement configuration is adjusted immediately. Thanks to this modular design, sensors do not have to be reconfigured manually.
Reliable real-time measurement data
Kunak uses onboard algorithms that process measured values locally and in real time. Influences such as:
- temperature
- humidity
- air pressure
- cross-sensitivities between gases
are corrected automatically.
As a result, the cartridges deliver reliable measurement data without the need for continuous external reference equipment.
