WatchGas SILPoint fixed gas detector
The SILpoint from WatchGas Detection is a microprocessor-based fixed gas detector with a 4–20 mA / RS485 Modbus output signal. The SILPoint also has both alarm and fault relays (all SIL2-certified). This transmitter can be used to detect flammable gases and vapours such as methane, propane, butane and more. For this purpose the SILPoint EX E is available with a catalytic LEL sensor, while the SILPoint IR Premium E has an infrared sensor. A version is also available for the detection of refrigerants, at both explosive and toxic levels. Finally, the SILPoint can be fitted with a sensor to detect toxic gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and more, with the SILPoint TOX E.
Calibration of sensors without an LCD display is carried out using the STL06-PGX2 calibration device or the PCE06-PGX2 PC software. Sensors with an LCD display have an integrated calibration routine that is started externally with a permanent magnet, without opening the housing. In the event of an alarm or fault, the backlight of sensors with an LCD display changes from green to red.
The WatchGas SILPoint is available in various versions, depending on your application:
SILPoint TOX E : Continuous monitoring of toxic gases and vapours.
SILPoint EX E: Continuous monitoring of flammable gases and vapours with a catalytic sensor (pellistor).
SILPoint IR Premium E: Continuous monitoring of flammable gases and vapours with an infrared sensor.
SILPoint Freon E: Continuous monitoring of Freon gas and/or detection of gas released when using refrigerants.
SILPoint Freon LEL E: Continuous monitoring of Freon or other flammable gases and vapours that may be released when using refrigerants.
