Buying sound sources? Choose quality and precision

Sound sources are indispensable when measuring sound insulation and reverberation times. They are used to create a controlled and reproducible sound source, for example for measurements in accordance with ISO 16283 or ISO 140. Whether you are investigating building acoustics or want to optimise room acoustics, a reliable noise or impact source is essential for a good measurement.

At BaSystemen you will find a carefully selected range of high-quality sound sources, such as the Svantek SV 90/103 with a 250 mm loudspeaker and the larger Svantek SV 90/303 with a diameter of 330 mm. Both omnidirectional noise sources are designed for professional applications and deliver a powerful, even sound field. They are perfectly suited to testing airborne sound insulation or measuring the acoustic performance of rooms.

For impact sound measurements we also supply top-quality impact sources. These include the automated Svantek SV 93 tapping machine, ideal for floor measurements to the standard, and the Svantek SP 95 impact ball, which is widely used for testing sports floors or ceilings where a drop test is required.

We also offer speech sources, such as the Bedrock BTB65 and the more advanced BTB115 TalkBox. These have been developed specifically for speech intelligibility measurements (including STIPA and STI) in accordance with IEC 60268-16. They also support speech playback in several languages, noise, sweep and user signals, and are ideal for measurements in educational buildings, auditoriums, public address installations or evacuation systems. The BTB115 additionally offers features such as an integrated laser distance meter, wireless operation and the use of your own audio files, with accurate on-the-fly calibration.
